Spotted Zebra innovations

Durban based catering Company, The Spotted Zebra are passionate about our environment and communities.   Because of this we firmly believe in being actively involved in certain areas.  These include

RE-CYCLING

The planet is under enormous pressure to prevent or limit further global warming, and each of us individually or as corporate companies can drastically reduce our carbon foot prints in many ways.  This year, Spotted Zebra will be implementing a strict recycling project to ensure that our waste is managed and recycled in a responsible manner.  This means that all our cardboard, glass, plastic and other such recyclable materials will be collected and sent to various recycling depots to be recycled correctly.

There are a number of ways to reduce your carbon footprint and live a more earth-friendly lifestyle. Some of them are more feasible than others.

Lots of the options below cost nothing, zero, zilch, zip. What are you waiting for?

COMMUNITY PROJECTS

Spotted Zebra looks to support local subsistence farms in our community.

Spotted Zebra are investigating another project that will make use of our food wastes, such as vegetable and fruit peels and scraps to produce, liquid gold, a worm created fertilizer that we will use to fertilizer our own herb gardens.  We will also be donating portions of this
fertilizer to local farming communities to enhance their own subsistence crops.
Watch this space for more details!

Start your own worm farm at home.

While most people have started to recycle some of their rubbish such as, glass, paper and plastic, each year more and more rubbish is produced worldwide and our landfills are not coping. One way to reduce the amount of rubbish your household throws away (by up to 25%) is to start a worm farm and minimise the amount of organic waste we produce.

EMPOWERMENT & TRAINING

Spotted Zebra believe in empowering and training our staff so that in turn their skills are increased and mastered and our services to our clients are improved.
